I Walk

I walk the hall of mirrors and saunter in a dream
Cling onto any songs that wander in the streams
which fondle the emotions that haunt the very scene
Then conquer every dawn I ponder to be free
Never bask in the forms of places up above
But I latch what we adorn on faces of a love
And cuz I won't let it fall at a violent pace
I plead my soul to crawl from its hiding place
Won't find my paths straddling the silver lining
I can't let my life shadow in the shell of compliance
Don't want tomorrow to pass while i'm still dying
And find the scars and the scabs braced and defiant
And a part of me vibing as my arteries tighten
While sorrow is surpassing like a conquering lion
So when adversity is present and hearts are in a twirl
I arm myself with thunders and march against the world

I fought the portly mourning to make the sobbing perish,
A sullen sodden soul, transformed to a solaced Seraph
With hoping hands reaching to what we often cherish;
and drifting on the wings of our concocted merits
I'm a soldier of burning love, music and blooming life
Celebrating my roots above, influencing newer heights
I swing with winds, cuz i'm dancing with my heart
Put a hinge on my dreams just to hang'em on a star
And as I rise to my flight I see'em tangent to my eyes
I soar into the night and see'em dancing from afar
So when adversity is present and hearts are in a twirl
I arm myself with thunders and march against the world

I walk these broken roads with hope nowhere in sight
The poems of my people become the verses I write
Overtaken by hatred I've been lost to all the light
Consumed by darkness as I walk into the night
As He whispers in my mind and dismembers my soul
A chill runs through my spine I think I'm getting cold
I watch others suffer in their sorrow I can revel
I'm lost and controlled by bad thoughts from the Devil
I run from my past but I can't out-run my guilt
A prisoner of these vast castle walls I built
The sound of the violins translates my heavy mood
Backed by the drums and the sounds of impending doom
A son of the Sun, the Man that's on the Moon
Incept thoughts in my head to watch ideas bloom
So as I giftwrap my soul and make ready to sell
I arm myself with Fire and march my way to Hell
